The Teenage years, Growth and Hormones
The teen years can be a scary time for most parents. For those parenting a child with ASD and other learning difficulties, it can not only be scary but also confusing. How do you talk to your growing teen about the changes they are experiencing? More importantly, what resources do you have if communicating these changes is not enough?
One of the most important things to remember is that children will develop at the same rate physically and sexually whether or not they have ASD. The key is to be an educated parent and to be able to answer questions your child may have. Join us for an insightful look into the teenage years with Dr. Rachelle Smith, AP and Clinical Nutritionist as we explore the mysteries and differences that come with hormone changes and sexuality. Learn how to support your teen nutritionally and emotionally through this crazy time!
